Norinco 213 9mm Tokarev Clone

Norinco 213 9mm Tokarev Clone

A brief history/review of the Norinco 213 which is a Chinese Copy of a Russian gun which was a copy of an American design in a German caliber.

The TT33 Tokarev was a redesigned version of the TT30 Tokarev. It was used as the main sidearm of the Russian military besides the M1895 Nagant revolver. These guns were chambered in 7.62×25mm Tokarev. Which is a .30 caliber bottle necked pistol round similar to to .30 mauser ammo used in the C96 broomhandle.

Norinco made clones in the original Tokarev Chambering and also in 9mm Luger/Parabellum. I sought out one in 9mm because the 7.62 Tokarev ammo is not as easy to find or cheap as it was back in the 1990s.

You may recognize the shape of the slide and the hammer from the Nintendo 64 game Goldeneye. The TT-33 was used as the basis for the DD44 Dostovei handgun model

I picked this beauty up on gunbroker for $100 because it was in terrible shape. I removed the rust and old finish and reblued it using a Nitre Blue process.

If you are interested in the bluing process I made a video explaining how to do it.
